Vin Esposito Wins In Late Models At Waterford; Jeff Smith Punches Ticket To New Hampshire With Third Posted: 11 Sep 2010 07:42 PM PDT WATERFORD - Vin Esposito held off Bruce Thomas Jr. and Jeff Smith over the last stages to win the 30-lap Late Model feature Saturday at the Waterford Speedbowl. It was the second victory of the season for Esposito of Seymour. His first victory of the year came on May 29. Thomas, of Groton, was second and Smith, of Old Lyme, third. Smith had said earlier in the evening that as long as he got through the feature without wrecking he would accept his invitation to compete in the second American-Canadian Tour Invitational at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. The 60-lap event is scheduled for next Saturday at NHMS as part of the Sprint Cup Series weekend card at the track.
